Someone entered the property and broke into a room. The alarm was triggered and they took two pairs of track shoes before running off.

Two strollers were taken from the boot of a hired vehicle. The tools that were used to break into the vehicle were found on the side walk the following morning.

A man snatched a chain from an elderly woman’s neck and ran towards Garden Centre.

Belmont Avenue - Thursday, at 15:00
An intruder forced open a security gate in the house and was found by the housekeeper down the hallway. He grabbed a cell phone and ran down the hall, at which time the house manager was coming out of her room. They grabbed for the cell phone he had and pushed him out of the door. The owner chased him down the road, but was unable to keep up with him as he headed to the city.

Belmont Avenue - Thursday, at 14:00
A man had forced open the gate to a property. The domestic worker came across him in a guest room and he grabbed her by the arm when she confronted him. He dropped a cell phone, but ran away with a tip box. He was chased for quite a distance by the owner.

A man entered the house, possibly through an open window. A resident was alerted to a sound in the house and upon investigation came across the intruder. The man escaped with a laptop and hard drive.

Moray Place - Tuesday, at 06:10
The suspect gained access through the back garden. The back door was left open to allow the dogs out. The dogs went crazy which brought the owner’s attention to the intruder. He stole 12 pairs of sunglasses and clothes from the hallway.

Buxton Avenue - Monday, at 04:15
Individuals gained entry into a property and proceeded to walk down the side of the house. They circumvented the fence and security gate to gain access to the back of the property. A security light registered the entry which seemed to startle the intruders which caused them to jump over the wall into the property next door where beams were tripped. The alarm caused the intruders to flee back into the first property and they then ran down the road towards the city.

An intruder triggered the alarm at 04:20 in the garden. CBAR arrived in 1 minute and saw tracks over wall to the Buxton neighbours. The suspect then triggered the Buxton alarm.

Suspect climbed onto upper floor balcony and gained entrance via a narrow ledge through bedroom window. He was confronted by the tenant. He took her cellphone and iPad and jumped down past the tenant’s bedroom window on the lower floor and ran to a taxi waiting.

A woman was walking home from work on Upper Orange Street when a beige Toyota Tazz came down the road on the opposite side of the road, stopped and two men got out. They walked towards her and pretended to take photographs of each other. They then came up from behind her with a knife, held it in her ribs and whispered ‘Shhhh’. At that time she dropped her backpack and ran away. They picked up the bag and ran to the car which was parked on Prince Street and drove off.

A motorbike was parked on the pavement for an hour. On returning to his motorbike the victim noticed that the ignition was badly damaged, presumably with the use of a sharp metal object.

A trespasser, who had scaled a wall, was able to reach into an open window with broom handle between the burglar bars and pull a wallet that had been left on table towards him grab. He was noticed by a neighbour who alerted security, but was gone by the time they arrived.
