A scooter was stolen and was later discovered in Sir George Grey Street, hidden between two other vehicles.

House Break-in

Sophia Street - Sunday, at 05:00
Two men climbed on the roof of the neighbour’s garage and then proceeded to climb along pipes to a second floor flat. The window was open and one of the men managed to climb through the window. The resident woke up and chased the man away. He managed to grab a sleeping bag on his way out.

A resident was waiting for the traffic light to turn green when another man appeared at his door with a fire arm and instructed him to open the car door. He got out of his vehicle and was asked whether he had cash and a cell phone. He couldn’t find his cell phone but gave the man R 300. The man then opened the boot of his car and took off with his laptop and nappy bag.

A man had rung the doorbell and said he was the cleaner. The guests staying on the premises tried to contact the owner to establish his identification but could not reach her. They allowed the suspect to enter who then started cleaning the house which placed the visitors at ease. While the suspect was emptying the bins, the resident called to confirm no cleaner had been expected. By then the suspect had made off with 2 laptops, Ipads, jewellery and cash which were hidden in the wheelie bin.
