House break in Hilton Road 17 December 2013

Housebreaking
Hilton Road
2am 17 December

Home owner reports

The house was unoccupied at the time. A window frame was crowbarred out of the wall, causing considerable damage. The alarm activated, and the suspect grabbed an iPad and two cell phones before fleeing. CBAR were quickly on the scene, and apprehended the suspect in the road. Fantastic work. Our property was returned. SAPS were pathetic, taking more than an hour to arrive, and then asking if we wanted to lay a charge. The fingerprint person has yet to arrive, and it is now just too late. What a dismal performance. Lets hope that the law now takes its course, and the suspect is held in custody, pending his trial. We are endeavoring to find out who the investigating officer is, to put pressure on the suspect’s prosecution actually taking place. So, CBAR, absolutely fantastic, SAPS pathetic, and depressingly so. All this happened on a windy night with a full moon, a favorite for criminals in our area. This is the third housebreaking we have e xperienced in the last couple of years. Not good.”
